THE STORY OF PLUMVILLAGE INDIA
It is not very easy to open a Buddhist Practicing Centre in India, where Buddhism does not have any presence, even though Buddha himself was born here. By and large the general public are unaware of the teachings of Buddha. So while there is literally no support from the general public one poor old man a devote Buddhist has singularly built this and has nurtured a monastery. There is no compromise with the teachings of Buddha but the facilities and logistics are yet to develop.
The retreats run on the traditions of reverend Thich Naht Hanh and there is enough accommodation of people to stay, eat and practice Mindfulness Meditation. What started out as a personal journey and weekend workshop has grown into a transformative Meditation Retreat that has changed lives. We offer retreats to address all aspects and every interest, so let us know what you need and we’ll help guide you in the right direction.
